UK Agility Dog of 2010
UK Agility Dog 2010 is an annual competition for-
a)
Small Dogs- 350mm or under at the withers
b)
Medium Dogs- over 350mm and 430mm and under at the withers
c)
Large Dogs- over 430mm at the withers
These will now be referred to as the “UK Agility Dog
Competitions”.
ALL DOGS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE ANNUAL COMPETITION BEFORE 1
NOVEMBER 2010.
The Competition closes on 5 January the following year. Wins from any month
will be accepted before closing date of the competition.
ENTRY FEES
The Annual Entry Fee- Free for 2010. Entrants
must agree to the Terms and Conditions of entry before being accepted into the
competition. Entries will be confirmed by email.
REGISTRATION
Each entrant must register online providing a photo of the dog (must be jpg
attachment less than 800k) to be included in the competition, and provide the
following details-
• Breed
• Sex
• Dogs name and title
•
Dog KC Registration Number (or equivalent)
• Dogs date of birth
• Owners Name
• Owners address (must include
country and state)
• Owners Phone Number
• Owners Email address
• Sire and Dam of the Dog
• Height Class (If the
height class changes during the year, dogs must be re-registered with the new
height) Points earned while in the previous height class remain in that
competition, but also count towards the dog’s total annual points score.
In the Dogtrials Agility Competitions, you can only
be in the Height Class which equals the official (real) height of your dog, not
which height class you enter at an Agility Trial. If your dog has to be
remeasured during the year, we will then add the dog to the new Height Class in
the Dogtrial's Competition, manually.

The entrant provides surety to Showdogs
(our Business), that they own the entrant. If the entrant is jointly owned, the
entrant provides surety to Showdogs that they have
the authority/agreement with the co-owner/s to enter the dog in this
competition.

ELIGIBILITY
1.
To be eligible for
the UK Agility Dog Competitions, all dogs must be registered with the Kennel Club in accordance with Kennel Club Regulations for
Classification and Registration B, and reside in and be trialled in the United Kingdom
(England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland), during the time period.
2.
The time period for
the UK Agility Dog Competitions of 2010 means between 1/1/2010
and 31/12/2010. Final submissions for
the UK Agility Dog Competitions of 2010 close on 5 January the following year.
3.
The UK
Agility Dog of 2010
competition is for the whole of the UK.
If enough entries are received, it will also be divided into the following areas- Scotland, Ireland, Wales, North England, Anglia, and South England. If in doubt,
please refer to the map. A dog shall be deemed to be
entered under the area for which they have submitted the most awards (not the
most points).

In that case, a dog shall be deemed to be entered
under the Division for which they have submitted the most awards (not the most
points).
5.
All Competitors compete for The UK Agility Dog of 2010. The dog with the
highest overall points wins the UK Agility Dog of 2010 award and prize.
6.
In the case of a draw, the highest number of 1st Place awards will win. If outright winners are still not achieved, the most 1st
and 2nd Place awards, then most 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place awards,
and down the table until a winner can be declared.
POINTS
1.
For the UK Agility Dog of 2010
Competitions, points will apply only for events licensed by the KC or held by a
KC Member Club and held between 1/1/2010
and 31/12/2010.
2.
Entrants
can submit all awards gained on each course at each level of competition (e.g.
Challenge Certificate, Place & Clear Round, Place and Clear Round, Place).

UK Agility Dog
of the Year entrants can claim additional points when their dog gains a title
during the time period. Proof via a copy of the certificate (including date)
must be received by closing date to be included in the 2010 Competition. Please
email evidence of this to judy@showdogs.com.au.
LEADERBOARDS
The leaderboards for UK Agility Dog of 2010 will be published
as wins are added.
Any discrepancies/disputed wins will be checked with the entrant, and
entrants may be required to provide proof of their win via notification from
the Secretary of the Show. If proof is not provided and/or the dispute resolved
by the close of the month, the win shall not be counted. No correspondence
shall be entered into.
